Small gifts. Outsized groceries.
We buy food for pennies on the pound through food banks and rescue partnerships, so your dollars multiply: every $5 becomes about $250 worth of food on a neighbor's table. Common Ground Ministries is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit — every gift is tax-deductible.
Provides about $250 worth of groceries for one family.
Delivers those groceries to a family with no transportation.
Feeds ten families and fuels a food-recovery pickup run.
Sponsors a free community dinner night at Nick’s Café.
How to give
Online giving is coming soon. In the meantime, the fastest way to give is to call or text 570-801-2699 or email contact@hungryletseat.com — we’ll gladly arrange a one-time or recurring gift, and provide a receipt for your taxes.
Checks can be made payable to Common Ground Ministries and mailed to our center in Beaver Meadows, PA. Prefer to give food, garden produce, or starter plants? We take those too — contact us to coordinate a drop-off.
Where your money goes
Food first. Our entire annual operation — feeding 1,600+ people, running delivery routes across three counties, rescuing 100,000+ pounds of food from waste, hosting free monthly events — runs on roughly what many organizations spend on overhead alone. For most of our two decades, our founders served without taking a salary. We publish our supporters and grant awards openly on our About page.
